Who am I?

I sometimes think that I was born with a pencil in my hand. For as long as I can remember, I've been an artist. I come from a family full of them, each in their own discipline from tattoos to woodworking, all of which have influenced me in one way or another. However, I wear with pride that I am the first to pursue it professionally.

I got my start in graphic art, drawing characters and worlds from the comics I read, taking inspiration from artists like Jim Lee and Alex Ross. I would try to spot and perfect every detail I could find, a practice that eventually became my specialty, focusing on the details to improve the whole.

I've always had a fascination with the props and lighting, owing back to the detail-oriented linework and rendering of my inspirations, but only truly fell in love with them in my time at DigiPen Instsitute of Technology working in my first 3d environments. Lighting allowed me to have complete control over both the atmosphere and mood of a scene, and prop work allowed me the freedom to decorate and fill that area anyway I wanted. Ever since I have taken the same approach to 3D as I did to graphic art in my early years, trying to seek out whatever I can to improve my craft in any way I can.
